Due to this years extraordinary truck traffic on Billingsville Rd. the Commission is trying several steps to improve the safety of Billingsville Rd. In conjunction with Boone Quarries there has been dust control applied to the road. We appreciate the cooperation from the quarry. Also, we are posting a speed limit of 30 mph from the quarry to Highway B in an effort to slow the traffic in this section.

Let's take this opportunity to realize driving though a swollen creek is not a good idea. This unfortunate soul attempted to drive through on one of the gravel roads in Cooper County. Understand this is a dangerous practice. Gravel roads will erode much faster than a blacktop. So when you enter these waters the road is likely not there.
